Ducks split with College Station on the road

The Ducks start the series with a hard fought 6-4 loss to the Spirit, but turn it around in game 2 to come away with a 4-2 win.

Thursday:

Jake Cox opened the scoring for point Mallard with a unassisted short handed goal at 5:56 of the 1st.  College Station answered with 3 goals before at 9:05 of the 2nd period Revniaga notched his first goal with an assist from Knopf.  Jake Cox evened it up with a goal a 16:29 with an assist from Nilsson and Goodman

College station pulled away in the 3 with 2 early goals.  Jake Cox pulled the Ducks back within 1 with his second shortie of the night at 17:14, with assists from Precht and Nilsson.  College Station put in the empty netter to seal the game at 19:28.  Glassman and Bernardini split time in next, Glassman had 23 saves and Bernardini had 6.

Friday:

Ian Precht started the scoring for Point Mallard with a 1st period buzzer beater at 19:59 of the 1st, assisted by Hamblett and Nilsson. College Station put in the only goal of the second 55 seconds in.

The Ducks came alive in the 3rd. with Polcaro notching his first at 13:30, with an assiste from Gilreath and Cortes.  Hamblett put in his second of the season a minute and a half later helped by Precht. College Station pulled back within 1 at 19:11, but Jake Cox put in the final goal of the game, an empty netter with 1 second left.

Bernadini was between the Pipes for the Ducks and stopped 19 Spirit shots enroute to the win.
