The Point Mallard Ducks traveled to Evansville, Indiana on Friday and came away with a 5-4 win.
The Ducks opened the scoring with Jake Cox scoring his 11th of the season on the power play at 6:02 from Hamblett and Precht. In the second period LaPlante netted his first of the season at 1:47 with an assist from Cortes. Evansville would tie it up until Nilsson put Point Mallard ahead with a goal at 19:23 of the second period from Hamblett.
Jake Cox scored his second power play goal of the night to start the 3rd 19 seconds into the period, with an assist from Nilsson and Knopf. Evansville tied it again in the third, but Jake Cox put the thunderbolts away with an unassisted goal for the hat trick at 17:50. Glassman finished the night with 28 saves for the Ducks.
These two teams meet again on Saturday at Point Mallard.
