Cox's big night helped the Ducks crush the Jr. Predators 7-1

Jake Cox had a big night with 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) as the Point Mallard Ducks crushed the Nashville Jr. Predators 7-1 in a home game at Ford Ice Center in Point Mallard. In addition, the Point Mallard Ducks' offense had a big night, peppering Nashville with 31 shots throughout the game. The Point Mallard Ducks took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Jake Cox.

Joe Lopez did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jesse Stepp contributed with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

During the second period, Weinland opened the scoring for the Ducks with a goal at 12:01 with helpers from his linemates, Evans and Scherberger. Cox quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 12:40 with helpers from teammates Stepp and Laplante. Cox quickly followed with a goal at 12:45 with assists from his linemates, Kendall and Landers.

In the third period, Trombly netted a goal at 0:26 with helpers from his linemates, Cox and Stepp. Chun quickly followed with a goal at 0:55 with assists from his linemates, Lopez and Halpert. Stepp deposited a goal at 4:07 with helpers from Cox and Goodman. Lopez scored a goal at 8:59 with assists from his linemates, Halpert and Chun. Weber finally put the Jr. Predators on the board with a goal at 13:00 with helpers from Goukler and Heard.

The Ducks’ victory was in no doubt helped out by O’shaughnessy as he stopped 16 of the 17 shots he faced. On the other hand, O’shaughnessy’s counterpart, Naidow, and Nashville’s defense saw a few pucks go by stopping only 19 of 24 shots.

This win brings the Point Mallard Ducks’ record to (7-5-0-0).
