Ducks head to Atlanta after hard fought opening weekend.

The Ducks started their 2017-18 campaign by facing the Evansville Jr. Thunderbolts both here and there.  The first game in the series was played in Evansville where Jesse Stepp, Eli Kendall, and JJ Landers each netted a goal for the Ducks and Joey Bernardini made 36 saves for Point Mallard.  Unfortunately this wasn’t enough as Evansville slipped away with a 4-3 win at Swonder.

The Ducks returned home on Saturday for their home opener featuring the Ducky Derby presented by the Volunteer Center of Morgan County.  Mason Evans and Tyler Trombly each found the back of the net for the Ducks, but Evansville came away with a 4-2 win in a penalty filled game.

The Ducks head to Center Ice Arena this weekend for a two game series against the Atlanta Capitals Friday and Saturday.
