Texas falls to Point Mallard in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Point Mallard\’s Josh Hamilton scored 3:18 into overtime to beat Texas, 4-3 (OT).

Point Mallard overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Point Mallard was down 3-1 after a goal by Texas\’ Kyle Galloway at 9:52 in the second period. Point Mallard tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Jake Champaign at 19:17 in the third period.

Justin Dunn had one goal and two assists to lead Point Mallard. Dunn scored 4:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Point Mallard. Jake Cox provided the assist.

Point Mallard excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Point Mallard forced Texas goalie Brandon Perrone to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots.

Point Mallard also got points from Hamilton, who also had one goal and one assist. Justin Delisle also scored for Point Mallard. More assists for Point Mallard came via Justin Clark, who had two.
