Chris O'shaughnessy came up big, stopping 25 of 27 shots throughout the game. The Point Mallard Ducks took the lead late in the third on a goal from Jason Kelly.
During the second period, Klintworth opened the scoring for Atlanta with a goal at 2:09 with a helper from his teammate Medure. Sleeper netted a goal at 6:50 with an assist from Steh. Kendall finally put the Ducks on the board with a goal at 11:37.
During the third, Chun deposited a goal at 1:32 with a helper from defenseman Goodman. Kelly scored what turned out to be the game winning goal at 17:18 with assists from Green and Herbel. Trombly quickly followed with a goal at 17:59 with helpers from Evans and Horton.
Point Mallard’s victory was in no doubt helped out by O’shaughnessy’s big night as he stopped 25 of the 27 shots he faced. On the other hand, O’shaughnessy’s counterpart, Konin, and Atlanta’s defense did not have such a great night allowing 4 goals in 27 shots.
This win brings the Point Mallard Ducks’ record to (23-22-0-1).
