Chris O'shaughnessy posted a shutout, stopping all 24 of the Louisiana Drillers shots throughout the game. The Point Mallard Ducks took the lead early in the second on a goal from Mason Evans.
Mason Evans had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist).
In the second, Evans opened the scoring for the Ducks with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 0:38 with helpers from his teammates Udris and Green.
During the third period, Evans deposited a goal at 9:04 with assists from his linemates, Halpert and Weinland. Laplante netted a goal at 17:37 with helpers from Goodman and Evans.
The Ducks’ victory was in no doubt helped out by O’shaughnessy’s shutout, as he stopped all 24 of the shots he faced. O’shaughnessy’s counterpart, Varricchio, also had a big night, managing to stop 34 of 37, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Point Mallard Ducks’ record to (10-7-0-0).
