The Ducks struggled against the Jr. Stars 5-1 in Texas

The Point Mallard Ducks’ defense had a poor night, allowing the Mid Cities Jr. Stars 27 shots throughout the game. The Mid Cities Jr. Stars took the lead early in the second on a goal from Trey Rooney.

Matthew Taylor contributed with 2 goals and Trey Rooney did his part, adding 2 goals.

In the first, Rooney opened the scoring for the Jr. Stars with a goal at 5:06. Green answered for the Ducks with a goal at 8:43 with assists from teammates Udris and Chun.

During the second, Rooney answered for Mid Cities with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 2:09 with a helper from Koehn. Taylor netted a goal at 6:54 with assists from Nick and Brain. Schulz put in a goal at 19:23 with helpers from Speights and Nick.

In the third, Taylor scored a goal at 7:47 with assists from his linemates, Speights and Schulz.

This loss brings the Point Mallard Ducks’ record to (20-20-0-1).
